Russians attack JYSK furniture retailer shop in Zaporizhzhia – video
A JYSK store in Zaporizhzhia was hit by drones and guided aerial bombs on 2 January 2026, damaging the building and destroying merchandise. No employees were injured.

Details: Ivanytsia said that the strikes damaged the roof of the building, caused a fire and resulted in the loss of some goods and equipment.
"We are currently assessing the extent of the damage and the time required to restore operations," Ivanytsia said.
He added that the retail chain is planning to reopen the damaged JYSK store later this winter.
Founded in Denmark, JYSK is part of the Lars Larsen Group. Its founder, Lars Larsen, is widely known in Denmark as a leading furniture retailer. Today, the JYSK Group operates more than 3,500 stores in 50 countries worldwide.
In Ukraine, JYSK currently runs 112 stores across 38 cities, as well as the online store jysk.ua. The company employs nearly 1,000 staff in the country.

- On the night of 1-2 January, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with strike drones in what was one theirlargest attacks on the city.
