Russians strike farm in Chernihiv Oblast

A Russian strike has damaged an apartment building and a farm in Chernihiv Oblast.

Quote: "A Geran [drone] struck the town of Novhorod-Siverskyi late last night.

An apartment building and outbuildings were damaged, and several cars were destroyed. Firefighters worked at the site of the strike.

Because of the Geran attack, a cowshed at one of the farms in a village in the Kozelets hromada was damaged. Cattle were injured. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

In total, there were nine attacks over the past day. Border areas were hit."

Background:

  • On 2 January, a JYSK store in Zaporizhzhia was hit by drones and guided aerial bombs, damaging the building and destroying merchandise. No employees were injured.
  • On the night of 1-2 January, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with strike drones in what was one of their largest attacks on the city.
  • On the night of 2-3 January, Russian forces conducted strikes on critical infrastructure in Mykolaiv Oblast.
