Election bill to be drafted by end of February

Davyd Arakhamiia, leader of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, has expressed hope that work on the text of a bill regulating elections under martial law can be completed by the end of February.
Source: Arakhamiia's comments to journalists following a meeting with national security advisers from Ukraine's partners on Saturday.
Quote: "If we set an internal, desired deadline, we should finish by the end of February and have a draft that we can register and put to a vote."
Details: Arakhamiia noted that it was only recently that the working group on this issue was set up, and the work done by this group may take quite a long time, because "everyone has an important opinion that needs to be taken into account".
He said that security advisers at the meeting had asked about the possible timeframe for holding elections and a referendum.
"We count 90 days from the moment the draft is agreed upon. The approval of the draft itself may take any amount of time. We don't want to take this responsibility onto ourselves, because this is inter-factional work and there must be political consensus. From that point, there are another 90 days. If a ceasefire is ensured, this is potentially possible, but if that does not happen, then it will be necessary to discuss what comes next," Arakhamiia said.
Background: On 22 December, David Arakhamia reported that a working group is being formed in parliament to deal with the issue of presidential elections under martial law.
