Quote: "Today's meeting of the Coalition of the Willing in Paris was productive and decisive. Together with a broad coalition of partners, Belgium will take on its share of international efforts towards safeguarding peace in Ukraine, once hostilities have ended.
Our contribution will focus in particular on providing air and maritime capabilities as well as efforts in the area of training, where Belgium can deliver tangible and meaningful impact."
Details: De Wever emphasised the importance of US leadership in this process. He said that the coalition's efforts will be reinforced by strong support from the US.
He also noted that future monitoring of the security situation will be conducted under US leadership, which he believes will effectively deter Russia from further aggression and help achieve long-term stability in the region.
