Details: The Centre described the baby as long-awaited and a dream come true. Pavlo had very much wanted a daughter, and the couple had chosen her name in advance. It was only after Pavlo's death that Iryna discovered that his dream of having a daughter would be fulfilled.
Little Yustyna arrived after a 40-week pregnancy, measuring 51 cm (20 inches) and weighing 3 kg (6 lb 6 oz).
Quote from the Centre: "The team at Lviv Perinatal Centre had the honour of helping bring this baby into the world. We salute the family's courage and rejoice that life prevails despite everything!
The memory of the Hero now has an earthly continuation – his little daughter. May the little girl grow up healthy and under peaceful skies."
