Russia attacked Ukrainian ports 96 times in 2025 – Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority

The intensity of attacks on port infrastructure surged in 2025. Ukraine recorded 36 strikes on ports in 2024, rising sharply to 96 in 2025. Last year, 325 port facilities were damaged in the assaults.

Quote: "The intensity of attacks against port infrastructure has risen sharply over the past year. Thirty-six were recorded in 2024, rising to 96 in 2025.
Meanwhile, the scale of devastation is also growing: since the start of the full-scale war, 651 port infrastructure facilities have been damaged, with 325 of them recorded in 2025."
Details: The USPA says it has provided five vehicles to military units involved in safeguarding port infrastructure.
The equipment has been transferred for the needs of Air Command Pivden (South).
Quote: "In conditions of constant attacks, operational mobility and proper technical support for units responsible for port security are of critical importance.
USPA, together with the military, continues to work on strengthening the protection of port infrastructure, focusing on air defence and countering aerial threats."
Background:
- On 7 January, Russia attacked port infrastructure facilities in Odesa Oblast, damaging infrastructure, an administrative building, freight vehicles and containers.
- Russian forces once again struck Ukraine's port infrastructure with drones on 1 January. Damage to facilities at ports in Odesa Oblast was recorded overnight.
- Prior to that, it was reported that Russia had attacked port infrastructure in Odesa Oblast, with damage recorded at facilities in the ports of Pivdennyi and Chornomorsk.
