Quote: "A particular focus is on restoring electricity supply to consumers in Odesa, Kharkiv and Donetsk oblasts, where the situation is difficult after overnight attacks. The main task is to restore electricity and heat supply to all homes."
Details: Svyrydenko stated that critical infrastructure is operating without interruption.
"More than 7,000 invincibility centres have been deployed across the country. Traffic on main roads is ensured, and they are being cleared by specialised equipment," the prime minister said. Background:
- Kyiv is gradually moving from emergency power restrictions to rolling outage schedules.
- In Chernihiv Oblast, a major energy facility in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district was damaged as a result of a Russian attack, leaving a number of settlements without power.
- In Odesa Oblast, Russian forces again attacked energy infrastructure facilities on 12 January, causing significant damage to equipment. Around 33,500 households in the region remain without electricity.
