Nearly 800 buildings in Kyiv remain without heating after Russian attack

Nearly 800 buildings in the city of Kyiv have been left without a heating supply.

Details: Klitschko said that the outages persist in the Pecherskyi district, parts of the Holosiivskyi and Solomianskyi districts, while in other districts, heating supply has been restored.

He said that around 6,000 apartment blocks across the capital were left without heating supply after the latest large-scale Russian attack had damaged critical infrastructure.

Repair work is continuing around the clock.

Background:

• Half of Kyiv's apartment buildings, almost 6,000, were without heat supply after critical infrastructure in the capital had been damaged in a large-scale Russian attack.
• More than 1,000 buildings in Kyiv remained without heating as of 11 January, while supply has been restored to others. Water supply, which had been disrupted in some districts, has been restored for all residents.
