Zelenskyy: Ukrainian intelligence says Russia is preparing another major attack in coming days

Russia seeks to take advantage of the freezing cold weather and is likely preparing another large-scale strike on Ukraine in the coming days.

Quote: "And please, be sure to pay attention to air-raid warnings. Our intelligence has found that the Russians are preparing another large-scale strike. Drones to wear down air defences and missiles. They want to use the cold weather. This strike may happen in the coming days."
Details: Zelenskyy added that he discussed repair efforts in all regions with Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko.
Quote: "We agreed with the prime minister to develop a special programme to support people who work directly in repair crews, 24/7 in the most difficult conditions. The government will propose how to significantly increase the monthly wages of these personnel during the winter months."
Background: On the night of 8-9 January, Russia attacked Ukraine with 278 airborne weapons – 36 missiles and 242 drones of various types. Ukraine's Air Force reported that Russia had used one medium-range ballistic missile that was launched from the Kapustin Yar test site in Russia's Astrakhan Oblast.
