Details: Kuleba said this concerns 40 children from 26 families in two hromadas. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]
Cherkasy Oblast has been designated for their reception and accommodation.
Kuleba noted that the decision on mandatory evacuation is challenging but necessary in the context of constant attacks, as it is the only way to save lives, especially those of children.
He also stated that the evacuation is being coordinated jointly with Ukraine's Ministry of Social Policy, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, local authorities and other relevant services. The agencies said people will be provided with a safe route and the necessary support at all stages of the evacuation.
Background: On 11 January, the police reported that 30 local residents, including 15 children, had been evacuated from the Zaporizhzhia district of the oblast.
