Emergency power outages in effect in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Emergency power outages have been implemented in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast on the instructions of Ukrenergo, a Ukrainian national energy distributor.

Background:

• As of the morning of 11 January, repair work on the power system was ongoing in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, while much of the region – except for the Kryvyi Rih district – remained without electricity.
• Later on 11 January, energy workers managed to restore power to most residents of Dnippropentrovsk Oblast following an emergency situation. At the same time, repair work continued on the left bank of the Dnipro River and in Dnipro district after the attack.
• On 12 January, electricity was restored on the left bank of the city of Dnipro and in the Dnipro district following attacks.
