Quote from Zelenskyy: "Overall, it is clear that the United States wants to end the war tomorrow. And we want to end it today. We are both interested in this. And we understand that the delay in signing and ending the war is coming from Russia."

  • Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that Volodymyr Zelenskyy, rather than Vladimir Putin, was obstructing a potential peace deal.
  • In response to Trump's remarks, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that it was Russia, not President Zelenskyy, that had rejected the peace plan for ending the war in Ukraine prepared by the United States.
  • Prior to Trump's latest comments about Zelenskyy, media reports said that he was increasingly frustrated with Putin and viewed him as a greater obstacle to peace in Ukraine than Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
  • During a recent press conference at Mar-a-Lago, Trump expressed personal frustration with Putin, saying that he is not happy with the Russian leader, as he's killing too many people.
