Zelenskyy holds call over Kyiv buildings still without heating and energy sector state across Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held a special energy conference call and ordered a separate review of buildings that remain without heating in the city of Kyiv.

Details: Zelenskyy said that the most difficult situation is in the energy system in Kyiv and the oblast, Kharkiv and the oblast and Zaporizhzhia and the oblast.
He said that after the strike on Kyiv Oblast on the night of 16-17 January, there are additional challenges for the cities of Hostomel, Bucha and Irpin, with all necessary services involved. Zelenskyy added that the situation in Odesa is also due to be fixed during the day. Reports were also provided on Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.
Zelenskyy said that Ukraine needs to speed up electricity imports as much as possible and secure additional equipment from partners.

There are separate instructions for the minister of defence of Ukraine regarding Air Force operations and the protection of the skies. Decisions will follow."
Background:
- Russia again struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure on the night of 16-17 January, leaving consumers in Odesa and Kyiv oblasts without power.
- The attack has left 56,000 families in the Bucha district in Kyiv Oblast without electricity.
- Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that around 50 buildings in the city remain without heating out of 6,000 that had no heat supply after an attack on critical infrastructure on 9 January.
