Quote: "We are strengthening the network of invincibility centres and regulating their operation amid the easing of the curfew. People must have continuous access to assistance, warmth and charging facilities – even during frost and while the energy system is being restored after enemy attacks."
Details: Svyrydenko said that the government has approved amendments to the rules governing the operation and organisation of invincibility centres. These changes introduce core points that will be able to operate for longer periods – more than 48 hours continuously – and will have sufficient reserves of water and electricity, stable communications and, where necessary, equipped sleeping areas.
"Core points will be deployed based on population size. If needed, the number of sleeping places can be increased," the prime minister noted.
The Cabinet of Ministers' resolution also sets capacity requirements depending on the size of the city:
- cities with 30,000–100,000 residents – up to 100 people;
- 100,000–500,000 residents – 100-300 people;
- over 500,000 residents – 300+ people.
Svyrydenko added that as of today, 10,676 invincibility centres are operating across the country on a permanent basis. Since the beginning of January, around 130,000 people have used them. Nearly 3,000 more are ready to open if needed.
