Ukraine's Ministry of Energy gets new leadership, some came from Ministry of Defence

Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has appointed the state secretary of the Ministry of Energy, as well as two deputy ministers.

Details: Maksym Malashkin has been appointed state secretary, having previously held the same post at the Ministry of Defence.

In addition, two deputy ministers have been appointed under Denys Shmyhal, Minister of Energy – Valentyna Moskalenko and Anatolii Kutsevol. Prior to his appointment, Kutsevol held the post of deputy minister of defence for European integration.
Background:
- On 13 January, the Ukrainian Parliament voted to dismiss Denys Shmyhal from the post of Minister of Defence.
- On 14 January, the Ukrainian Parliament on the second attempt supported the appointment of Denys Shmyhal as First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy.
