Half of Kyiv without heating after Russian attack

Around half of Kyiv's housing stock remains without heating after a Russian attack on 20 January.

Details: Kovalenko said that emergency power outages are continuing in the capital and scheduled power outages do not currently apply. A total of 173,000 consumers remain without electricity.
He noted that power engineers are working to restore the electricity supply despite freezing temperatures and urged Kyiv residents not to switch on all their electrical appliances at once after power is restored in order to avoid overloading the grid and causing further breakdowns.
