Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said he may decide not to travel to Switzerland for the World Economic Forum in Davos because of the critical situation in Ukraine's energy sector following large-scale Russian attacks.

Details: Zelenskyy said he is currently focused on improving the electricity supply situation and has been holding consultations with Ukraine's energy coordination team.

"This is the top priority right now. In this situation, I will certainly choose Ukraine rather than an economic forum," he said.

But he stressed that the situation is "fluid".

"Everything can change at any moment. Ending this war is extremely important to me. Both the prosperity agreement and security guarantees are vital documents. We are on the final stretch of the work on them. If the documents are ready, there will be a meeting and a trip. If there are concrete energy support packages or decisions on additional air defence systems, I will definitely go," he said.

Zelenskyy added that he is currently facing an "acute challenge" at home.

"Although our team in Davos is reporting that work on the document for Ukraine's recovery is almost complete. We'll see. I'm staying here for now," he concluded.
