Heat supply restored to over 1,600 residential buildings in Kyiv after Russian attack

Over 1,600 residential buildings in Kyiv have had their heating restored after being left without it following last night's Russian attack.

Details: Meanwhile, 4,000 apartment buildings remain without heating.

"The situation is difficult because most of these buildings are being reconnected for the second time after the damage to critical infrastructure on 9 January," Klitschko noted.

Utility workers and power engineers continue to work to restore heat, water and electricity supply to consumers in Kyiv.

Background:

• The large-scale Russian attack has caused disruptions in the electricity and water supply in Kyiv. The city's left bank has been left without power.
• A total of 5,635 apartment buildings in Kyiv have been left without heating following the Russian strike on the night of 19-20 January. The capital's left bank is also without water.
• Klitschko noted that the situation with water and heat supply in Kyiv's left bank and in the Pecherskyi district remains difficult.
