Over one million consumers in Kyiv have been left without power as of the evening of 20 January due to Russian attacks.

Details: Zelenskyy said a significant number of buildings in the capital – more than 4,000 apartment blocks – are also without heating.

  • Following the Russian attack on 19-20 January, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that the situation remains difficult, particularly for water supply and heating on the left bank and in the Pecherskyi district.
  • It was reported on 20 January that over 1,600 residential buildings in Kyiv had their heating restored after the previous night's attack, while some 4,000 apartment blocks remained without heat.
