Drones and missiles hit energy infrastructure in Russia's Belgorod and Oryol, causing large-scale fire

Drones and missiles attacked the Russian cities of Oryol and Belgorod on Tuesday 20 January.

Details: Local news outlets reported that the strike on Belgorod had taken place after 20:00 Kyiv time. The missile strike hit the Energot power plant, causing a large-scale fire.
Gladkov later confirmed the attack.
Quote from Gladkov: "Facilities within the region's energy sector have been damaged in the attack. We are conducting demining operations and starting emergency repair work. In addition, buildings and equipment have been damaged on the premises of a business in Belgorod."
Details: Meanwhile, local residents reported that over 10 explosions had been heard in Oryol at around 21:30. The drone attack caused partial power and water outages.
Oryol Oblast Governor Andrei Klychkov confirmed the attack, reporting minor damage to fuel and energy infrastructure facilities and interruptions in the Severny and Zheleznodorozhny districts of the city.
Background: Reports on social media indicated earlier that a Russian air defence missile had hit an apartment building in the village of Afipsky in Russia's Krasnodar Krai.
