Details: DIU reported that the key company in the production cycle is Novator Design Office of the Almaz-Antey Concern.
DIU named 39 Russian and one Belarusian company that manufacture key components for Iskander-K cruise missiles: the warhead, turbojet engine, satellite and inertial navigation systems, other electronics and the missile's component base.
Eight of the 41 companies on the list are still not under sanctions by any member of the sanctions coalition, DIU emphasised. These include Tambov Plant Elektropribor, which produces the GIB-123-4 inertial navigation system; High Technologies JSC, manufacturer of GTT-37.000 gas generators for TRDD-50B turbojet engines; and Volzhsk Electromechanical Plant, a supplier of components for 9B914 active jamming stations.
A full list of companies, their identification details, information on the nature of their activities, their role in the production cooperation chain and the sanctions applied to them is available via the link.
Quote from DIU: "At present, these weapons are being used by the aggressor state against Ukraine, but they may soon pose a threat to other countries of the civilised world. Synchronising sanctions actions, increasing pressure on the production chains of Russia's defence industry and further support for Ukraine remain key factors in deterring aggression and restoring security in Europe and beyond."
Background:
- DIU recently released a detailed breakdown of a new Russian attack drone, Geran-5, including an interactive 3D model, components, electronic component base and the main tactical and technical characteristics.
- Earlier, DIU also released data on about 50 foreign machine tools that are working for Russia's defence industrial base.
