Ukraine has completed the establishment of a full-fledged domestic wind turbine production cycle and can now meet its needs for this equipment segment independently.

Details: Mykyta said that a Ukrainian company has for the first time produced a wind turbine blade designed to generate electricity.

Quote: "The product manufactured by Friendly Wind Technology LLC is 75 metres long and weighs 25 tonnes. It has come off the production line and is ready for installation. The manufacturing process used state-of-the-art equipment, a main blade mould supplied by Gurit, modern materials and dozens of highly qualified, experienced personnel."

More details: Mykyta said this shows Ukraine is at the forefront of advanced technologies and now stands alongside manufacturers of wind power equipment such as the United States, China, Germany, Denmark, Spain, India, Brazil and South Korea.

Background: Oschadbank, a state-owned savings bank, said earlier that it is implementing a project to build 100 wind power plants together with Friendly Wind Technology LLC.
