Ukraine's chief negotiator comments on peace talks in Abu Dhabi

Rustem Umierov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine and head of the Ukrainian delegation, has confirmed that the trilateral meeting in Abu Dhabi involving Ukraine, the United States and Russia will continue on Saturday 24 January.

On the US side, the consultations included Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, Josh Gruenbaum, General Daniel Driscoll and General Alexus Grynkewich.
The Russian delegation included representatives of military intelligence and the armed forces."
Details: Umierov added that the meeting focused on ending the Russo-Ukrainain war and the further logic of the negotiation process with the aim of moving towards a dignified and lasting peace.
"Additional meetings are scheduled for tomorrow," he announced. Andrii Hnatov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Vadym Skibitskyi, Deputy Head of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, will join the Ukrainian delegation on Saturday.
"Following each stage, we report to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy," Umierov noted.
He said the Ukrainian team is acting in a coordinated manner within the tasks set by Zelenskyy.
