One person killed as drone struck confectionery factory in Kyiv

A Russian strike has hit a Roshen confectionery factory in Kyiv, killing a woman and injuring two other people.

Quote from SES: "There is destruction on the upper floor of a confectionery factory in the Holosiivskyi district as a result of the attack. One person has been killed and two others have been injured."
Details: Viktoriia Siumar said that a direct hit by a Shahed-type drone killed a woman at the Roshen factory. [Roshen is a major international confectionery corporation based in Ukraine founded by former Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko - ed.]
Quote from Siumar: "She was working in the production workshop… The workshop has also been seriously damaged."
More details: Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office also reported the strike, without specifying which Roshen facility had been hit.

Background:
- Ukraine's energy authorities have said that a recent large-scale Russian strike on energy infrastructure left some consumers without power in Kyiv and in Kyiv Oblast, Chernihiv and Kharkiv oblasts.
- Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that damage to critical infrastructure had left nearly 6,000 apartment buildings without heating again.
