Details: Zelenskyy said the agreement will need to be ratified by the US Congress and Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament).

The president also mentioned the European element of the security guarantees, saying it should include the work of the Coalition of the Willing and the date Ukraine joins the EU.

Quote: "Second security guarantees for Ukraine are European security guarantees, the Coalition of the Willing, and most importantly – membership in the European Union. These are economic security guarantees for Ukraine. We want the year 2027; we are talking about a specific date when Ukraine will be ready."

Details: Zelenskyy added that Ukraine will be prepared to open all negotiating clusters in the first half of 2026 and fully ready to join at a "technical level" in 2027.

"We want a specific date [for EU accession – ed.] in our treaty on ending the war so that all parties will adhere to these agreements, including the aggressor, who will sign a 20-point plan if the moment comes," the president noted.
