Russian forces attacked the city of Kherson on the morning of 27 January, killing a 72-year-old woman.

Details: Investigators have found that the Russians struck Kherson with rocket artillery at around 04:00. A 72-year-old woman was killed while she was inside her house.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched under Article 438.2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for violation of the laws and customs of war resulting in a civilian death.

Background: Russian forces have struck critical and social infrastructure in Kherson Oblast over the past day and damaged homes, a mobile phone tower and a hotel.
