Details: Sybiha commented on recent unfriendly statements from the Hungarian side. In recent days, Hungary has actively accused Ukraine of interfering in parliamentary elections in favour of the Hungarian opposition. In addition, Orbán has promised that Hungary will not allow Ukraine to join the EU for another 100 years.

Quote: "Things must be called by their right names. Hungary is the only obstacle to Ukraine's membership in the EU. Moreover, I believe that the prime minister of Hungary is a threat to his own people."

Details: In his view, this concerns not only Hungarians living in Hungary, but also those residing in Ukraine. "Because he [Orbán] is blocking part of the Hungarian people from joining the common European space," Sybiha explained.

He also commented on the disappearance from Hungary's pre-election rhetoric of issues related to the rights of Hungarians living abroad. "Because they [Orbán's government – ed.] are guided by polls and voter sentiment," the foreign minister believes.

Sybiha also explained his recent sharp statements about Hungary and said that Ukraine is preparing for various scenarios after the Hungarian parliamentary elections scheduled for April.
