Woman hospitalised in critical condition after Russian strike on Nikopol

A woman has been taken to hospital in critical condition after being injured in a Russian attack on the city of Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

Quote: "In Nikopol, a 33-year-old woman has been injured as a result of an enemy strike. She has been hospitalised in a critical condition."

Details: Hanzha also reported that Russian forces were attacking the Nikopol district throughout the day.

Quote: "They were using artillery and FPV drones against settlements in the Pokrovska, Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets and Myrove hromadas.

The strikes damaged two five-storey apartment buildings, two houses, a vehicle, infrastructure and a gas pipeline. Two outbuildings have been destroyed." [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Background:

  • Russian forces have also struck other parts of Ukraine during the day. A passenger train travelling from Kharkiv Oblast to the west of Ukraine with 291 passengers on board has been hit in a Russian Shahed drone attack.
  • Russian troops also killed a civilian couple from the village of Hrabovske in the Krasnopillia district in Sumy Oblast during an attempted evacuation.
