Hourly power outage schedules and capacity restrictions (for industrial consumers) will be introduced in most Ukrainian oblasts on Wednesday 28 January.

Details: The measures provide for hourly outages from 00:00 to 23:59.

"The reason for introducing restriction measures is the aftermath of Russian missile and drone attacks on energy facilities," Ukrenergo said.

Ukrenergo noted that the situation in the power system is subject to change. Residents should check the official websites of their local energy providers for the schedules and scope of outages in their oblast.

Background: Kyiv is expected to return to power outage schedules soon but they are set to be particularly strict for residents of the capital.
