Hot water supply to be cut in Chernihiv to maintain heating

The hot water supply in the city of Chernihiv will be temporarily suspended from 30 January.

Details: It is noted that there is currently a shortage of heating capacity in Chernihiv due to Russian attacks on critical infrastructure. A significant drop in air temperature is also expected.

Quote: "Under these conditions, the available resources are insufficient to provide both heating and hot water to consumers at the same time. Therefore, all resources during this period will be directed to maintaining heating in residential buildings to keep homes in Chernihiv warm."

Details: Technical teams from Teplokomunenergo and power engineers are operating in enhanced mode to stabilise the situation.

Background: The hot water supply has been temporarily limited in parts of Kyiv – thermal capacity is being directed to restoring heat supply.
