All oblasts are returning to rolling power outages, and high-voltage lines and substations are operating as usual. Power engineers worked as quickly as possible."

Details: Shmyhal noted that two breakdowns had occurred on high-voltage lines in the morning, just minutes apart, triggering cascading outages across seven oblasts.

"Claims of a cyberattack or external interference have not been confirmed. Early reports indicate it was caused by icing on lines and equipment," the statement reads.

Shymal said Saturday's breakdown had most severely affected Ukraine's north and centre as well as Odesa Oblast. In Kyiv, 64 teams are tackling electricity repairs and another 220 are focused on restoring heating. Work will continue through the night.
