Zelenskyy: Russia launched over 6,000 drones and 158 missiles against Ukraine in January

Russia launched more than 6,000 attack drones, around 5,500 guided aerial bombs and 158 missiles of various types against Ukraine in January.

Details: Meanwhile, Ukraine's Air Force reported on 31 January that air defence shot down or jammed 79 missiles, 2,725 Shahed attack UAVs, 565 reconnaissance UAVs and 18,185 UAVs of other types during the month.

Background: On 31 January, after recording Russian drone activity near rail infrastructure along the Zaporizhzhia-Dnipro route, the state-run railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) decided to provide rail replacement buses for passengers in both directions.
