The European Union is set to deliver additional generators and energy equipment to Ukraine soon, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said after a conversation with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

More details: Zelenskyy added that von der Leyen briefed him on finalising the EU's 20th sanctions package against Russia. They also discussed diplomatic efforts and work on documents covering security guarantees and a recovery plan.
Von der Leyen said after the call that pressure on Russia needs to be increased.
Background:
- In the second half of January, the European Commission announced the delivery of 447 generators to Ukraine worth €3.7 million from the EU's strategic reserves.
- Poland is also delivering hundreds of generators to Ukraine using EU funds.
