Russians strike Zaporizhzhia: 18-year-old man and woman killed, 11 injured – photos, video

Russian forces have struck a residential district of Zaporizhzhia, injuring at least 11 people, including three children. An 18-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman have been killed in the attack.

Details: Russian forces carried out a strike on a residential area in Zaporizhzhia. Cars caught fire, and windows were blown out in buildings.

Update: Fedorov reported that Russian forces struck the city in the evening when people were making their way home. "Tragically, an 18-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were killed," he said.

Fedorov added that at least nine people had been injured, including three children: a 15-year-old girl and two boys aged 12 and 11.

An air-raid warning has been in effect for 23 hours in Zaporizhzhia.

Fedorov said that Russian forces had struck the city in the evening as people were on their way home.

Four high-rise residential buildings, cars and non-residential premises were damaged.

Update at 23:28: Later, Fedorov reported damage to another residential building.

The number of people injured in the strike has risen to 11, including three children.

Doctors diagnosed them as having shrapnel wounds, traumatic brain injuries and concussion. All those injured are receiving necessary medical treatment.

An air-raid warning has been in effect for over 27 hours in Zaporizhzhia.
