Details: Fedorov said he and Chmut discussed the key tasks that the Ministry of Defence plans to implement with the support of the DPA and the supervisory board.
Specifically, this includes identifying actual frontline needs and ensuring maximum transparency in all processes.
"Only procuring what proves effective on the battlefield. Everything we purchase must be directly linked to the objectives of the war and current needs," the minister said.
Quality control and timely deliveries of everything that is procured are also key. Deliveries must be tracked to reduce delays between payment and actual supply and ensure that equipment reaches the troops quickly.
A flexible and dynamic procurement system must be developed that is capable of responding to the innovation cycle, bringing down costs through transparent competition and anti-corruption measures.
Quote: "The supervisory board is responsible for the strategic management of the agency, achieving government objectives, compliance with the law, and transparency. Taras Chmut's appointment will significantly strengthen the DPA supervisory board and help achieve goals in the war.
Taras Chmut is an effective leader who, as head of the Come Back Alive foundation, has built one of the most results-oriented and transparent support systems for the defence forces – from working with the real needs of the front line to ensuring quality control, procurement and rapid delivery to the front."
Details: Fedorov said this experience is vital for transforming state defence procurement.
He added that the task of the Ministry of Defence and the DPA is to make defence procurement as effective, transparent and focused on frontline results as possible.
