Quote: "The most difficult area in Kyiv remains the district previously supplied by CHP-4 [combined heat and power plant]. As the city authorities have reported, the restoration of heat supply in that area is not expected in the near future.

Therefore, power engineers are trying to ensure improved electricity supply schedules. In total, 64 repair crews were involved today in restoring electricity supply in the city."

Details: The ministry also said that work on installing and launching gas cogeneration units is continuing as planned.

Quote: "Units with capacities of 9 MW and 18 MW are expected to be launched in the very near future. Alongside their commissioning, ensuring the physical protection of these facilities remains a critically important issue."

Details: It was also reported that 596 tonnes of humanitarian aid will be delivered to Ukraine this week through the Emergency Energy Assistance Hub.

The shipment includes transformers, insulators, generators and other critically important equipment, which will be distributed to energy companies, local authorities and critical infrastructure facilities across Ukraine.

Background: Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko said that cogeneration units which had been built and are technically ready for launch are standing idle in some hromadas. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]
