Power outages in five Ukrainian oblasts due to Russian attacks, three more affected by severe weather

Power outages are affecting consumers in Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Kirovohrad oblasts this morning due to the hostilities and Russian attacks on energy infrastructure.

Details: Nekrasov noted that emergency repair work at energy facilities is ongoing. All possible measures are being taken to ensure the stable operation of the energy system.
According to Nekrasov, emergency power outages have had to be applied in certain regions due to the difficult situation in the energy system. Rolling outages will be reintroduced for consumers once the situation stabilises.
He also said that due to severe weather conditions, 109 settlements in Ternopil, Chernivtsi and Khmelnytskyi oblasts remain without electricity. Repair crews from local distribution companies are working around the clock to repair damaged power lines.
Background: On Friday 6 February, rolling outages as well as power use restrictions for industrial consumers are in effect across all Ukrainian regions.
