Russians amass troops and equipment to storm Myrnohrad

Russian forces are amassing personnel and heavy equipment to storm the town of Myrnohrad in Donetsk Oblast.

Quote: "Our soldiers are holding designated defensive lines in Myrnohrad. The enemy is increasing pressure on the northern part of the city and is trying to amass heavy equipment and personnel for further storming of Myrnohrad. The necessary assets and personnel are being deployed to contain the enemy and strikes are being carried out against clusters of the invaders and their logistics."

Details: The report noted that units from Ukraine's defence forces in the area of responsibility of Operation Task Force East are holding back Russian pressure, repelling 59 Russian assaults over the past day on 5 January.

Ukrainian units are continuing to control the northern part of Pokrovsk. Operations aimed at locating and storming Russian positions are underway and Russian troops are being wiped out in the city's urban areas. Ukrainian forces are striking Russian units that seek to amass in the southern part of the city.
