There are 530 invincibility centres operating in Kyiv Oblast, ready to receive people around the clock and provide basic necessities. [Invincibility centres are heated premises stocked with food and power banks to assist residents facing hardships due to power cuts – ed.]

Quote from Kalashnyk: "The enemy continues systematic attacks on energy and heating infrastructure, seeking to leave people without electricity and heat – basic human needs. The aftermath of these strikes are already being felt – unfortunately, there is less and less electricity in the overall system, and a severe deficit will persist and be significantly felt in the coming days."

Details: Special attention is being paid to socially vulnerable groups. More than 10,000 heat kits have already been distributed to elderly people living alone, and around 22,000 hot meals are provided daily.

In addition, 530 invincibility centres are operating in the region, ready to receive people 24/7. Decisions have also been made to ease curfew requirements to ensure access to these centres.

According to Kalashnyk, all critical infrastructure in Kyiv Oblast – boiler houses, water supply facilities and hospitals – has been switched to alternative energy sources, including cogeneration units, generators and solar power plants. This makes it possible to continue supplying electricity to consumers.

He also stressed the need to reduce consumption in districts, including switching off street lighting and illuminated advertising, and limiting lighting in common areas and lifts in apartment buildings.

Quote from Kalashnyk: "We must consume less and generate more in order to bring more light to every home."
