Ukraine's nuclear generation still partially reduced, emergency power outages introduced in most regions

In Ukraine, the level of capacity deficit and the damage inflicted on electricity transmission and distribution networks this week by two Russian large-scale attacks currently do not allow emergency power outages to be lifted in most regions.

Details: Previously published schedules of power outages in most regions are currently not in effect due to the forced application of emergency outages.
Meanwhile, the scale of electricity restrictions today is less than yesterday in some oblasts.
Quote: "Power engineers are doing everything possible to restore equipment damaged by the enemy. Repair work is ongoing both at power plants and at high-voltage substations that ensure power output from nuclear power plants. Nuclear generation is still partially reduced."
Details: Ukrenergo also reported that efforts to deal with the aftermath of two large-scale missile and drone attacks on the energy system are ongoing.
The situation in the energy system remains difficult.
Background:
- Russia carried out a large-scale attack on Ukraine's energy system, the second since the beginning of the year. Energy facilities in eight oblasts came under missile and drone strikes.
- As a result of the large-scale attack by Russia, Ukrainian nuclear power plants have been forced to reduce their generation output.
