The military noted that in winter such systems are critically important due to open terrain without cover and threats from Russian FPV drones and artillery. UGVs are effective thanks to remote control, high manoeuvrability and zero risk to crews.

The released footage shows the process of loading a wounded soldier onto the drone and the system moving across difficult terrain in off-road conditions and severe weather, as well as rapid response during the mission.

Background:

  • Previously, fighters from the 57th Separate Motorised Infantry Brigade named after Kostiantyn Hordiienko evacuated a wounded infantryman from the town of Vovchansk in Kharkiv Oblast using a ground robotic system. The evacuation succeeded on the fourth attempt after several days of efforts under difficult conditions.
  • Earlier, Oboronka reported that fighters of the 53rd Separate Mechanised Brigade evacuated a wounded soldier using a UGV on the eleventh attempt.
