Details: Zelenskyy says that the latest talks between the delegations in the United Arab Emirates focused on ceasefire mechanisms and ways for the United States to oversee and monitor it. However, the negotiating teams were unable to agree on the details without political decisions at the highest level.

Zelenskyy noted that during the discussions, it became clear that any ceasefire would require monitoring with US involvement, but the specifics have not yet been finalised.

"Russians have one wording, we have another one, the Americans have the third one. There is an understanding that there will be monitoring, but there is also an understanding [that] more work is needed on wording and details," Zelenskyy said.

Zelenskyy expressed hope that Ukraine and the United States would reach an understanding during a new round of talks scheduled for next week.

"For the time being we are also talking about a sequencing plan of all our actions, including signing of documents," he added.
