Details: Zelenskyy said Ukraine is currently facing more manipulations involving the possible use of Oreshnik ballistic missiles. "This is certainly not about peace," he pointed out.

Background:

  • On the afternoon of 12 February, Ukraine's Air Force reported a possible launch of a Russian medium-range ballistic missile. At the same time, monitoring channels reported that an Oreshnik missile could have been launched from the Kapustin Yar testing range. The Air Force did not confirm this information, and later the all-clear was given.
  • On 11 February, Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine was ready to take part in the next round of talks in either Miami or Abu Dhabi, but the Russian side had not yet confirmed attendance. He said he had used the word "or" because the US had proposed holding a meeting in Miami as early as the following week, and Ukraine had immediately confirmed its readiness to attend. They were waiting for a response from the Russians, and as far as Zelenskyy was aware, Russia was still deliberating.
