Details: Heraskevych said he had been listened to by the court and is now waiting for the final decision.
Quote from Heraskevych: "There were long discussions. We talked for two and a half hours. I'm very grateful to have had the chance to speak out, and we were given a fair hearing. Our arguments were listened to. We are waiting for the decision. As you can see, I'm quite happy. I hope the truth will prevail. I know I did nothing wrong."
More details: Yevhen Pronin, a Ukrainian lawyer representing Heraskevych at the CAS, also commented on the case.
Quote from Pronin: "The fast-track proceedings in Vladyslav Heraskevych's case against the IOC [International Olympic Committee] and the IBSF [International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation] have concluded. They lasted two and a half hours. We laid out all of our legal arguments, in writing and orally. Vladyslav has poured into this case all the energy he should have been able to spend on the track, but he was denied that chance. Now it is for the arbitrator to rule on the case. We await the decision."
Background: Heraskevych had appealed against his suspension from the 2026 Winter Olympics. He has been banned from competing in a "remembrance helmet" featuring portraits of over 20 Ukrainian athletes killed in Russia's war against Ukraine.
