Zelenskyy and Dutch PM discuss ideas to reinforce Ukraine's air defences

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held talks with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof on new proposals to strengthen Ukraine's air defences and safeguard the country's skies.

Details: Zelenskyy spoke about the large-scale Russian strikes and the need for additional air defence missiles.

Quote: "The leaders also explored new ideas that could help reinforce air defence and protect the skies. The sides share a common view: it is crucial to increase coordination among partners in the face of Russia's growing ballistic missile production."

Details: Zelenskyy also emphasised the importance of the Netherlands' support for the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) programme, which is crucial for Ukraine given the ongoing Russian attacks.

In turn, Schoof assured him of continued support for Ukraine and stressed that the current level of assistance will be maintained.

Background: Earlier, in Munich, Zelenskyy discussed joint weapons production with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
