Kyiv on brink of catastrophe due to Russian attacks – mayor
Kyiv has been on the brink of catastrophe over the past two months due to intensive Russian attacks.

Details: Klitschko said that continuous Russian airstrikes on critical infrastructure during this period had brought Kyiv to the brink of catastrophe.
Quote: "Right now, the question of the future of our country – whether we will survive as an independent country or not is still open."
Details: The city's 3.5 million residents are enduring the harshest winter since Moscow's full-scale invasion began. Temperatures have fallen below minus 20 degrees, and Kyiv is covered in a thick layer of ice and snow. Russia has worsened the situation for residents by simultaneously launching hundreds of missiles and drones, causing widespread outages of electricity, heating and water.
The bombings targeted three major power plants, on which Kyiv's centralised heating depends, as well as other energy facilities across the country.
Background: On 14 February, heating was restored in another 1,100 apartment blocks in Kyiv.
