Zelenskyy: Cold days ahead, heed air-raid warnings

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has urged Ukrainians to be alert to air-raid warnings in the coming days as temperatures are expected to drop.

We are in constant contact with all partners, emphasising that each such threat, each such risk, only worsens the overall prospects for ending the war."

• During a significant drop in temperatures over recent weeks, Russia has carried out large-scale attacks on Ukraine's energy facilities, particularly those in Kyiv.
• Mayor Vitalii Klitschko said Kyiv has been on the brink of catastrophe over the past two months due to intensive Russian attacks.
• Snow, sleet and rain are forecast in several Ukrainian oblasts on Monday 16 February. Nighttime temperatures in Ukraine's west are expected to drop to -12°C, while in the east they will remain above zero overnight.
