Details: Meloni stressed that the key problem remains unresolved.

Quote: "There is a peace plan in which many issues have also been settled on paper, except that we are still very far from resolving the main issue, namely the question of territories to which Russia continues to lay claim, which in my view is entirely unfounded."

Details: Instead, Meloni said that there has been good progress in peace talks on the issue of security guarantees for Ukraine.

Quote: "I see important steps forward in the documents that we are currently working on. Very good work has been done on security guarantees for Kyiv which, incidentally, are based on the Italian proposal to shape them along the lines of Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty."
