Russian forces advance in Sumy and Donetsk oblasts – DeepState

Russian forces have advanced in the settlement of Pokrovka in Sumy Oblast as well as in the villages of Nykyforivka and Lypivka and near Platonivka in Donetsk Oblast, DeepState, a Ukrainian group of military analysts, has reported.

The analysts also reported that the Russians have made gains in Nykyforivka and Lypivka in the Soledar hromada and near Platonivka in the Siversk hromada in Donetsk Oblast. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Background: On 21 February, DeepState reported that Ukrainian forces had pushed Russian troops back near Kalynivske and in Ternove in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, while Russian forces had advanced in Pokrovsk in Donetsk Oblast.
