Ukrainska Pravda has established that long-range drones launched by the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) were behind an attack on the Kalyeykino oil pumping station in Russia's Republic of Tatarstan on the night of 22-23 February. The facility is a key hub for moving Russian oil into the Druzhba pipeline.

The Kalyeykino station is described as a key node for transporting Russian oil. It receives crude from Western Siberia and the Volga region, blends it and feeds it into the Druzhba pipeline, a major artery for Russian oil exports.

The distance from Ukraine's state border to the site is more than 1,200 km.

Quote: "The SSU is systematically working to cut Russia's oil extraction and transport.

Our special operations are steadily reducing the Russian treasury's intake of petrodollars that finance the war against Ukraine. This work will continue in order to exhaust and gradually bleed Russia's economy."

Background: Telegram monitoring channels and Astra, a Russian media outlet, said earlier that the Kaleykino oil pumping station had been attacked on the night of 22-23 February.
